For the past ten years, I have been a teacher of English for middle and high school students. This has included mostly reading but also a fair amount of writing. Sadly, this has left little time for me to do my own writing since 2005, research writing for graduate work and/or the occasional blog entry notwithstanding.

From January of 2001 until December of 2005, I served as editor for the newsletter of the local cycling club, the San Antonio Wheelmen. Responsibilities of the position included editing submissions and the monthly ride schedule, as well as assembling the entire newsletter for publication. For a while, I also penned a monthly column on bicycle safety titled "Safety Bits." Following my tenure as editor, the bulk of my own writing was course & research for graduate work at Texas A&M University Kingsville.

Since graduating in August of 2013, I have not produced much but hope to remedy that. With what, I am not wholly sure but have resumed "work" on my personal blog in an effort to begin (re)generating a style beyond the confines of a newsletter or academia.

Samples of past writings will be made available below in the near future.
